After you have installed the VPN Shield profile, you will see that several VPN configurations have been added to you system.

Each VPN Shield configuration has an associated country name and VPN connection type (l2tp, pptp). Pick any VPN configuration - for example you may prefer using a server that is in your country or is closest to your location/region.

Selecting the VPN configuration does not automatically establish the VPN connection. To do this you need to switch the VPN switch to ON.

After that, the system will try to establish the VPN connection using the selected VPN configuration.

When the connection is established and VPN is running you will see the VPN icon in the status bar indicating that all network traffic now goes through the secure VPN connection.

When you want to close the VPN connection simply switch the VPN switch to OFF. The VPN icon will disappear from the status bar.
